TONINA is owned and operated by English couple Pete and Karen who share a common love of the sea and have sailed and dived together in many places around the world.

Pete started sailing as a boy on his father’s boats and has since owned several of his own. As a qualified Yacht Master he has always been at home on the sea and introduced Karen to sailing, who is now a qualified Day Skipper. Karen has been a qualified diver for over 13 years and Pete is now hooked on diving and both are PADI rescue divers.

Pete & Karen decided several years ago to swap their successful careers in Information Technology for a more fitting lifestyle that allowed them to fully enjoy their passion for sailing, diving and Caribbean life. Owning and operating a crewed charter yacht became the obvious way to make this change happen. In 2006 they took delivery of TONINA and began to live-the-dream. Charter brokers chose TONINA, Karen and Pete as ’3rd Best in Show – Best Catamaran under 57ft’ at the BVI Boat Show 2008/9 and ’2nd Best Catamaran over 50ft’ in 2010/11.
